Perforated Perfection

mint blue shirt dress h&m and navy hollister cardigan

trench coat with scalloped perforated hemscalloped hem trench coat and brown boots

The trench coat is undoubtably a classic wardrobe item. In fact, every time I see a "What Every Woman Should Own" post, I always find a trench coat somewhere on that list. But who says that a classic trench has to be boring? (Personally, if I had the money, I would shell out for a Burberry trench with leather trim and sleeves). For now, I couldn't be happier with this trench coat, a lovely Kohl's find with a unique scalloped hem and perforated dot pattern at the bottom!

The other day, I realized (really late) that Houston has surpassed Chicago to become the 3rd largest city in the US. And that I'm in the middle of one of the most diverse, loudest, buzziest places in the nation, but I haven't blogged about it at all. That's like living in New York (#1 most populated city) and Los Angeles (#2) and not showing you the scene and eats of the city.

Would you guys enjoy it if I showed you some of the best restaurants, stores, and hangouts around Houston?

By the way...be sure to check back on Friday...I'll be posting a surprise for my followers!

  2. A trench is definitely such a classic – yet I've somehow managed never to buy one. Need to get on that! This one is really cute, I love the detailing at the hem. And I love the color of this dress!

  12. Such a cute trench. Reminds me of the Valentino one that Feather Factor has and loves!

I also have this mint H&M dress. It's so cute on you.

  13. That trench coat is so awesome! I love the perforated hem. I went to buy a trenchcoat last year, and instead of buying a beige one I bought a red one instead, which is a bit impractical! So now I have a beige trenchcoat like this one on my wish list...

  14. Love that trench coat! A fresh and delicate spin on a classic. I have a beige trench coat that I'm not completely loving -- it's kind of boxy and a teensy bit bland. I'm hoping to punch it up a bit with some metal studs. Trying to find the best DIY tutorial on Pinterest. Decisions, decisions.

    Best!
