LBD + Chambray

LBD and chambray layering
black quilted chain handbag from Foreve21: Chanel boy bag dupe
How to wear a chambray shirt: layer it under a little black dress!
Chambray under a LBD: daytime glam

As a future lawyer, I have to be careful about implicating myself in illegal activities. So all I will say is that I may or may not have accessed a very high point on Rice's Campus to watch the blood moon eclipse on Monday, which may or may not have led to the tell-tale bruises on my leg. If anyone questions me further, I'll have to invoke the Fifth Amendment.

Staying mum,

Brittney

Dress: Ross, similar here from boohoo
Shirt: J. Crew, this season's version
Vest: thrifted.
Bag: F21, similar here from Charlotte Russe ($12.50)
Necklace: F21, colorful version here ($14.80)

Don't forget, this weekend is your last chance to enter my giveaway and win this cute fuzzy cat scarf (lovingly named "Cocoa")

  6. I've been trying to cultivate the habit of reading carefully over everything I sign, to the point where my friends will exasperatedly sigh, "Just let me sign it, I don't care what it says."

  11. My thought process while reading this:

    "LBD over chambray, brilliant."

"Is that the butterfly garden in the museum district?"

*scrolls through a few more posts*

    "Is she a Rice student?!"

Yes, hi, hello, I work at Rice. I am so glad you commented on my blog because I am now completely enamored with you and your outfits/writing style.

  14. AHAHAHAHA, I love your posts and how you write. This one made me laugh out loud. You are so naturally beautiful. You managed to turn a more formal black dress into something casual and easily wearable for school or going around. That's bloody brilliant:D I love the first photo most where you're smiling and laughing naturally:D ahaha
